Bronchos Head to Area Consolation Game against Mount St. Mary

Launch the media gallery 1 playerShawnee, OK - The Bethany Bronchos (4A-#18) are one game away from the Class 4A Basketball Tournament after another outstanding victory yesterday over Cache (4A), 34-26 in the Area Tournament. The Bronchos continue their stifling defensive play that has become their trademark during both the regional and area tournaments. This impressive play from the Bronchos has caused them to rattle off five straight wins to stay alive after the loss in the district round against Fort Gibson (4A). After yesterday's games the Bronchos are one of just twelve teams remaining in the Class 4A bracket statewide. All four Area Consolation games today will see the winner earn a berth in the State Tournament.
The Bronchos will take on Mount St. Mary (4A-#5) in the Area Consolation at 8 PM on Saturday, March 6 at Shawnee High School. Mount St. Mary fell a night ago to Heritage Hall (4A-#2) in the Area Finals. The game will be livestreamed on the NFHS Network, www.nfhsnetwork.com. All ticket sales for this game are ONLINE ONLY.
