Brackets for this Weekend's Buckle of the Wheatbelt Tournament

The Bethany basketball teams will take to the court starting tomorrow in the Buckle of the Wheatbelt Tournament at Kingfisher High School. A tournament that has become a mainstay on the Bronchos' schedule for many years.

The Lady Bronchos (4A) will take on Chisholm (3A-#19) in the first round for the second straight season after defeating Chisholm a year ago to advance to the semi-finals. Chisholm comes in with a record of 9-5 on the season including impressive wins at the Wheat Capital Tournament over Alva (3A-#14) and Fairview (2A-#5). Bethany enters with an overall record of 7-9 on the season so far. Bethany vs. Chisholm will take place at 10:30 AM on Thursday at Kingfisher and the winner will move on to the semi-finals and a matchup against the winner of the Weatherford (4A-#13) and Guymon (5A) game.

The Bronchos (4A-#11) will take on Harrah (4A) in the opening round game of the tournament. Bethany enters the tournament as the #2 seed boasting a 13-3 record on the season. Harrah is 3-11 on the season and are coming off of a 51-59 loss to Jones (3A). This game will be played at 2:45 PM on Thursday at Kingfisher and the winner will advance to take on the winner of the Chisholm (3A-#12) and Weatherford (4A) game. The #1 seed, Kingfisher (4A-#1), is on the opposite side of the bracket from the Bronchos and will take on Guymon (5A) in the first round.
