Volleyball Finishes Season with Another State Tournament Appearance
Choctaw, OK - The Bethany Lady Bronchos Volleyball team recently finished another successful season that once again saw them making a state tournament appearance, their 4th in six years. The Bronchos qualified by being the 4A Regional Champion on October 3 that started with a 3-0 victory over Blanchard (4A) in the semi-finals. The Lady Bronchos went on to defeat Berryhill (4A-#11) in the regional final, 3-1 to advance to the state tournament.
In the state tournament Bethany (4A-#7) took on conference foe, Oklahoma Christian School (4A-#2), and unfortunately fell in a 3-1 match. The Lady Bronchos won the opening set 25-19 and looked strong out of the gates, but the #2 ranked team in the state would take the following three sets, 25-14, 25-13, and 25-15 to end the match. It was a hard fought loss for the Lady Bronchos who finished their season with a final records of 23-12 and their 4th regional championship in six years.
