Lady Bronchos End Season in State Semi-Finals
Moore, OK - The Bethany Lady Bronchos Volleyball program competed this past Saturday in the State Semi-Finals for the first time in school history and despite a great run to that point in the season they lost a hard fought match to the #1 team in the state Christian Heritage Academy. This season saw many great moments for the Lady Bronchos including a victory over Mount St. Mary (5A-#3) and the thrilling win over Regent Prep (4A-#5) in the first round of the state tournament. That victory over Regent Prep was the first state tournament win in school history for Bethany. Christian Heritage (4A-#1) would go on to finish as the state runner up as they were beaten by Victory Christian (4A-#2) in the championship match.
The Lady Bronchos are looking to make another run next year as a number of key contributors from this years squad will return in the fall of 2019 including Whitney Bowie and Addie Ray who were spectacular to finish the season. This season marked the fourth appearance in the state tournament by the volleyball program under the direction of Coach Cagle and they finish the year with a mark of 26-7.
