Girls Track Finishes in 3rd Place at Regional Track Championships
Enid, OK - Bethany's Girls Track Team had their most successful regional since 2017 and qualified two relays to the 4A State Championships in the process. Bethany was led on Saturday by senior Tabitha Sparks who helped to provide great starts to both relays as well as add some senior leadership to the relatively young Bethany Girls team.
Bethany also got a lift from sophomore Keizah Lofton who anchored both relays to help punch Bethany's ticket to the State Track Meet. The Lady Bronchos were the regional champions of the 1600 Meter Relay and the runner up in the 800 Meter Relay. Lofton also won the regional title in the 400 Meter Dash, running a state best time of 58.55 seconds. Other members of the 800 Meter Relay and 1600 Meter Relay are Junior Zya Vann and Sophomore Kayten Donley.
Bethany also got a spark out of the field events and distance races by scoring points in the Long Jump (Zya Vann), Pole Vault (Morgan Pennington), Shot Put (Talia Vann), Discus (Talia Vann and Sarah Herring), and 3200 Meter Run (Emerson King).
