Softball Wins District Opener over Kingfisher in Big Fashion

Kingfisher, OK - The Lady Bronchos softball team, fresh off of their 3rd place finish at the Weatherford Tournament this weekend, started their district schedule last night and came out with a big win over Kingfisher. With the big 14-0 win the Lady Bronchos move to 4-2 on the season and 1-0 in district play. Jadyn Barger led the Lady Bronchos on the mound, pitching a shutout, while striking out seven batters and only giving up two hits on the game.

Bethany also had the bats going in the game as five different Lady Broncho players had multiple hits in the game, Kate Thomas, Avery Parsells, Fernanda Reyes, Barger, and Jade Flinton. Parsells, Barger, and Lauryn Scalice all added three RBI's on the night to their stat line.

The Lady Bronchos head back out against another district opponent, Chickasha (4A) on Tuesday, again on the road.
