Broncho Softball Falls to Edmond Santa Fe on Walk Off Score
Weatherford, OK - The Bethany Bronchos softball team fell to Edmond Sante Fe 8-6 on Friday on the final play of the game. This was the Lady Bronchos first game in the Weatherford tournament. The game was tied at six with Edmond Sante Fe batting in the bottom of the fourth when J. Moreland doubled on a 2-2 count, scoring two runs.
Despite the loss, Bethany Bronchos Varsity did collect nine hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Edmond Sante Fe had 11 hits on the way to victory. Bethany fired up the offense in the first inning when Elizabeth Taber drove in three runs on a home run. A. Cox pitched Edmond Sante Fe to victory and lasted three innings, allowing six hits and five runs while walking zero. M. Peters threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
Kailey Belknap took the loss for Bethany, surrendering three runs on four hits over one inning, striking out one and walking one. Avery Parsells started the game for Bethany. She pitched two innings, allowing seven hits and five runs while striking out one and walking one. Jayden Barger led the Broncho offense as she went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Bethany in hits. Edmond Sante Fe tallied 11 hits. Moreland, Cox, and A. Williams all managed multiple hits for Edmond Sante Fe. Moreland led Edmond Sante Fe with three hits in three at bats.
