Weatherford Beats the Lady Bronchos in 4A District Matchup

Weatherford, OK - The Bethany Lady Bronchos had another game off to a great start in their opening round playoff game against Weatherford (4A-#15), but the 2nd half was once again a tough spot for this young team. The Lady Bronchos trailed by as many as 12 points early in the game, but by halftime they had battled back in impressive fashion to just a 23-19 deficit to a very talented Weatherford team. 

The 3rd quarter has been the Achilles heel for the Lady Bronchos all year though and Weatherford outscored Bethany 21-4 in that quarter opening up a 21 point lead that would ultimately end up in a 58-28 win for the Lady Eagles. Junior Bri Cotter led Bethany on the night with 12 points while sophomore Amelia Farni added 10 points. 

The Lady Bronchos will take on McLain (Tulsa) next Thursday, February 22 at 1:30 PM at Cushing High School in the Regional tournament. Click the link below for an updated bracket.
