The Bethany Lady Bronchos traveled to Okmulgee this past weekend and won their second straight 4A Area Basketball Championship. With this win, the Lady Bronchos will head back to the 4A State Tournament this week with a shot to repeat as the 4A State Champions. Last year the Lady Bronchos defeated top ranked Lincoln Christian in the championship game. This year, it is Bethany who go into the state tournament as the top ranked team in the state and they have been all year. The Lady Bronchos have been spectacular on the season. The only loss inside of the state of Oklahoma was a five point defeat at the hands of top ranked and defending 6A state champion Edmond North. The Lady Bronchos defeated Stilwell (4A-#5) 72-45 in the Area Championship Game to advance to this point. Make plans to join us all at "The Big House" on the campus of the Oklahoma City Fairgrounds for the State Tournament.

In the Quarterfinals on Thursday, March 7 at 9:00 AM, the Lady Bronchos will have a rematch with Western Conference rival Tuttle (4A-#8), who the Lady Bronchos defeated 70-41 in early January. Should the Lady Bronchos advance they will play in the semi-finals on Friday, March 8 also at 9:00 AM. Finally, the State Championship game will take place at 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 9. All games will be played at Jim Norick State Fair Arena.  Game information, including online ticket links and security information is included below.

Security at State Fair Arena
The OKC Fairgrounds has a clear-bag policy and walk-through scanners in place for the OSSAA State Tournaments to be held in the Jim Norick Arena. The approved clear plastic tote size is a maximum of 12 inches x 6 inches x 12 inches or a one-gallon clear plastic freezer bag. The policy will allow non-transparent clutch wallets that are no larger than 4.5 inches x 6 inches, clear fanny packs and clear crossbody bags. Bags that are necessary for medical equipment will be searched at each gate. No other bags or purses including diaper bags will be permitted and the limit on bags is one per person.

Seating Information

• Bethany will be the home team in each round, which means our fans will sit behind the scorer's table. Seating is open in the upper sections of the Fairgrounds, but court level seating is cleared before each game. If you would like to sit at court level you will need to line up prior to game time on the lower level and wait for that section to be cleared from the previous game. Our fans should line up and wait for seating on the LEFT HAND SIDE of the arena if you are facing the scorer's table.
• Bethany's student section will sit directly behind the Bethany team bench. If you are a spectator that is not a student be aware that area will have students standing which may affect your ability to see the game.
