Lady Bronchos Fall to Fort Gibson and Head to Regional Consolation Bracket
Fort Gibson, OK - The Bethany Lady Bronchos (4A-UR) had to go on the road during the district round of the OSSAA Playoffs and had a tough draw with the 5th ranked team in the state, Fort Gibson (4A). The Lady Bronchos Fell 85-33, but the story on the night for Bethany was Junior Lauryn Scalice leading the way with 27 of the Bronchos' 33 points. Scalice made history earlier this season by becoming just the seventh Lady Broncho in history to score 1,000 points in a career.
The Lady Bronchos will move to the regional consolation bracket and must win three straight games in the regional tournament to advance to the Area Tournament. The Lady Bronchos will next take on Chickasha (4A-UR) at 1:15 PM on Thursday, February 25. That game will take place at Seminole High School. The Lady Bronchos had a tough, seven point loss earlier this year on the road against Chickasha in the 2nd game of the season. If the Lady Bronchos advance they will play at 1:00 PM on Friday, November 26 at Heritage Hall in Oklahoma City.
