Bronchos Have Successful Day at 4A Cross Country Regionals
Enid, OK - This past Saturday the Broncho Cross Country teams were in action in Enid for the Class 4A Regional Championship and several team members qualified for the state championships to be held this Saturday, October 26. The Bethany boys finished in 5th place overall at the regional championships which is good enough to qualify the entire team for the state meet. Daniel Birchell was the highest finisher for Bethany as he brought home a 6th place finish and ran the 5k in a time of 17:22.7. Chapman Neal was 15th overall in a time of 17:50.7.
On the girls side it was a great showing by junior Kaylen King who finished the two mile race in 12:29.0 which was good enough for a 3rd place finish overall. Katelyn Hoefar also ran well for the Bronchos finishing in 9th place overall in a time of 13:15.5. Both of those ladies will compete in the 4A State Championships as individuals.
The Class 4A State Championships will take place on Saturday, October 26 at the Gordon Cooper Vo-Tech Campus in Shawnee, OK. The girls race will begin at 9:00 AM and the boys race will follow at 9:45 AM. The awards presentation will take place approximately 20 minutes after the conclusion of each race.
