Football State Championship, 7 PM Tonight - Weather Announcement
The Bethany Bronchos football team, coming off of their thrilling 31-30 win over Clinton in the Class 4A State Semi-Finals will compete tonight in the State Championship Game against Tuttle. The game will take place at 7 PM at Yukon High School. There is a chance of inclement weather and the Oklahoma Secondary Schools Activities Association has made the following statement in regards to this possibility:
“The OSSAA has been in contact with the National Weather Service regarding the possibility of inclement weather during State Championship and Semi-final football games across the state.
The highest risk for severe weather is beginning around I-35 and eastward. For the Oklahoma City Metro area, the timeline for the storms as of 8:15 a.m. today is between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m., moving east toward the Tulsa area, the timeline for those storms is between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. The storms will move through quickly, and based on the information we currently have, play will be stopped when conditions warrant, however play would continue when conditions are safe to resume play.
The OSSAA will remain in contact with the National Weather Service throughout the day, and we will continue to update our website as we get new information.”
Come out and support the Bronchos tonight in their first state title game appearance since the Class 2A State Championship win in 2003.
