BHS Cheer Brings Home Top 5 Finish at the State Championships
Tulsa, OK - For the first time since 2004 the Bethany Cheer team competed in the OSSAA Competitive Cheer competition, and their 3rd place finish at the 4A Regional Championships on September 21 the Lady Bronchos earned them a spot in the State Championships. The Lady Bronchos headed to Tulsa for the programs first state appearance since 2004 when they were the regional champions and finished in the top 5 at the state competition. This year the Lady Bronchos went in focused and prepared and came away with a fourth place finish overall out of the 14 schools that competed at state. The team had a final score of 214 out of a possible 300 points and finished just eight points behind the 3rd place team from Stigler. Cheerleading powerhouse Tuttle was the state champion, scoring 251 points. Crossings Christian was the state runner up and scored 249 points.
